Wang Ping - September 2020

Wang Ping studied at Beijing University before moving to New York in 1985, where she fell into poetry. Her new collection, "My Name Is Immigrant", deals with her personal and spiritual interaction with other migrants and some of their tragic stories. Wang Ping read a few poems and spoke with KFAI's Paul Brohaugh in September of 2020 about what this means, and what is the purpose of poetry.

"My Name Is Immigrant" is available from Hanging Loose Press
